Fighting Proficiency: Tsai was trained extensively as a Taiwanese military sniper, and has several years of field experience. He is proficient in both short- and long-range ballistic weapons, and is a skilled hand-to-hand combatant. His Melee Attribute reflects this experience, and in addition, he receives +1CS in hand-to-hand Attacks and defending Actions, and +2CS when using ballistic weapons.

Phoenix Battle Carapace: Molokh wears one of six known models of the Phoenix Battle Carapace system, developed for the Taiwanese military. The armor provides physical protection from impact and energy attacks, a low-range life-support system with a 6 hour capacity, regardless of high-or-low pressure environmental conditions, and an array of sensors routed to a combat AI to accelerate the wearer’s reflexes and multi-target awareness.
The Battle Carapace provides 40 Armor against physical attacks and 30 Armor against energy attacks, with a Core Strength of 210 points. At 50% Core loss, expanded sensors are lost and armor resistance is negated, and all remaining damage applies to Core before the occupant takes damage. Life support and sensors as described, with Intuition +2CS when using specific sensor types.

Note: The complete Phoenix Battle Carapace system involves two stages of armor: a personal battle armor, such as what Molokh wears, and a secondary powered-armor shell, which makes up the Carapace system itself.
