For those who primarily read the TRDL R3 Forum on a regular basis, you’ll always know about new TRDL Updates, through the announcements made in the TRDL News Section and through the posts in the individual art update categories. But for those who prefer to keep up via blog, the TRDL Blog has been overhauled and is active once again.

I haven’t maintained a blog since prior to the start of the R3 Forum, when I ran the Monkey Plus Robot Reviews blog, most of which morphed into our R3 Signals Intelligence Chatter section (reviews, news, wrongness and generall 100% minimum awesome stuff).

This was done for the Hellcat jam. Not my favorite costume, or character, for that matter. But some recent art done for a mini-series in her honor really inspired me. Pretty sexy character, generally. She seemed to be AWOL for a few decades, before the Marvel guys pulled every living character (plus a few) from the Handbooks to be Initiative members in recent events. Anyway, nothing like a tasty Hellmouse, I say.

This one did double-duty: it was contributed to the G.I. Joe jam, but also was our TRDL Valentines Day card as well. I really like this classic design for Scarlett. Staring at the action figure for hours as a kid didn’t hurt. Until I melted her on a campfire in Boy Scouts. But that doesn’t mean anything.

This was done for the recent Redesign a Cover jam. I chose Iron Man #07, with Gladiator, a character whose look is insanely weak on the face of it, but who was made extremely awesome in the more recent pages of Daredevil.

This was a commission for one of my long-term clients, of Tula from the Pirates of Darkwater cartoon from the 80s. Actually his commission was an erotic piece, but this was the general-audiences variant I did to share. The other will be posted to the Deviant Vault soon. Another monster background!

This was a commission for a good girl art collector, of one of his role-playing game characters, Alina, a jungle adventurer, here resting after a day of aggressive hiking, witnessed by three simians. The background took like 3,333 hours.
