This was done for the R3 Illustration jam on Third Rail Design Lab’s R3 Forum, the subject being Thor.

Joao somehow found the time to reach up into the sky and pull out the core of the sun and then smash it onto paper. This is ridiculously awesome. I think that crabby-Void looks even better than Coipel’s version! And I’m a sucker for Thor’s current uniform, so. GREAT work!

I really enjoyed "Siege", I’m a big fan of Coipel, and I love Thor’s current look. So, this was the first idea that came to my mind when I saw this jam’s theme.

Here’s the first sketch:

Funny coincidence, the last time I drew Thor, I also got inspiration from a Marvel big event’s shocking moment.

(ok, technically that’s not Thor, but his clone…)
