ines brunn (no wiki page! dammitTOLE!) is an artistic cyclist. an acrobatic cyclist, as it's known in other circles. basically, it's that elegant circus bike shit people have been doing since like 1890, and which the fixie freestyle kids think they made up and are "defining the culture of."
ines is german, and lived in new jersey from ages 3 to 9. she speaks german and english fluently, and knows chinese and french, too. she was a gymnast who took up artistic cyling at age 13, which was 20 or so years ago. she has toured most of the planet and supports cycling culture everywhere.
anyway,
HERE'S a killer little video from when she spent some time in a lovely little town called san francisco, california. what's really killer about ines, now that fixed-gears are a fashion accessory for trust-fund babies the nation over, is that she's taking her insane skill at artistic cycling and applying it to track/commuter bikes. the frame geometries, handlebars, seats, and gear ratios are all different, but that doesn't slow her down one bit. she's the SHIT, on ANY bike.
brunn is probably the most well-known artistic cyclist in the world, and a quick google search will turn you up with more youtubes than you know what to do with.
