These Watchmen illustrations were inspired by a sketch commission I accepted, for a young Silk Spectre. I had to keep going, so i drew the rest of the Minutemen portrayed in the series, with the exception of Comedian, because, I don't know, he's not around long enough.

Rorschach is the coolest of Dave Gibbon's Watchmen designs. The Question has NEVER looked this good, and his right-winger psychopathic angle was really astounding at the time, especially when he was unmasked to reveal a stunningnly uncool punk within, just like ole Darth Vader, which wasn't long after, actually. Anyway, I'd hate to have to draw a whole book of him cruising around in this get-up, but it's fun to take a stab at it once and awhile.
