This was done for an art forum illustration jam, the subject being 'redheads', though I later realized there was a concurrent jam for characters using the second or third generation of a costumed identity, so that works, too..

Rachel Summers was a really great character initially, but then something strange happened, and she became thos sort of poster child for channeling creators' subversive, somewhat deviant predilictions, in my opinion. She was running around in red latex bodysuits and dog collars, treated like a slave, then had mommy daddy issues, then disappeared or something... but she's back now, and wearing a modernized version of her sort-of mother's original Marvel Girl costume, or one of them anyway... courtesy of Alan Davis. It's a really, really, really cool looking uniform, even if the practicality of mini-skirts in combat hasn't changed in thirty years.
