ON A CRITICAL (RED) HIT (FIGHTING FEAT), HE MAY DECAPITATE OR OTHERWISE CEREMONIOUSLY DISPATH HIS VICTIM IN ONE ATTACK, BY MAKING A SUBSEWUENT RED OR YELLOW SAVE AGAINST HIS AGILITY. |
| Notorious throughout the EU, tthe man known only as The Rake became infamous overnight after crashing a fundraiser gala in Lucerne featuring some of Europe's wealthiest society families, raising funds for the Continental Wellness Initiative, a well-intentioned but entirely corrupt charity that had distributed nearly no donations to it's recipients, yet squandered billions of euros in parties, events, and galas of the sort. Before a stunned black tie crowd, he brought down a massive crystal chandelier, launched himself before the fund's executor, Sir Blime Fortwell of Leanbury, and verbally assaulted him for corruption, grift, infidelity, collusion, bribery, theft and arrogance, and then promptly decapitated him. After brazenly groping a young Duchess, then leaping through a stained glass window, the authorities, of which the leaders were in attendance, learned that the funds considerable holdings had been liquidated by unknown parties and distributed to a series of half-way homes and public clinics in some of the poorest neighborhoods in the Union.
Almost immediately, differing accounts of the masked vigilante's appearance, speech, and actions graced the covers of all the major international newspapers, and within weeks, after several similar incidents occured, a consistent pattern emerged: The Rake , as he became known, not only stole from the rich, but he assassinated them for good measure, and almost without fail, managed to seduce innocent young society women before, after, and occasionally DURING the audacious attacks, always culminating in the public humiliation and them murder of a major political or financially powerful personality. His identity remained a mystery, and his motives, though seemingly well-intentioned, were criticized by a growing number of charities that feared his attacks were alarming the wealthy into withdrawing themselves from the very organizations he thwarted, thereby reducing the funds available, by legitimate means, or the Rake's adventures. Of course, he was instantly declared an international priority by Interpol, and was soon wanted for murder in most of the Union's wealthier countries. His face was never recorded, and each of his romantic partners described his appearance differently, confounding investigators. He remains active and uncaptured to this day. |
