This was inspired by a discussion over on the E-A-W Yahoo Group with Tawd, who was waxing poetic about this version of the character, who replaced Jessica Drew at some point in the mid-80s, either during, or near, the Secret Wars series. I don't remember if that was when they introduced her, or what, but since I was reading comics like they were oxygen back then, I was familiar with Jessica Drew from back issues, but read about Carpenter in current books of the day. Ans do I drew her a couple of times. This was a fun exercise in re-drawing a sketch from years ago, which I frequently do. The one critical detail I missed was that she has a full Farrah Fawcett hairdo in the comics, and I gave her a reasonable cowl here. But anyway, fun stuff, memory lane, etc.
