I like Wonder Woman in concept, particularly when she's portrayed as this uber-female warrior, the whole confident and somewhat superior Amazonian warrior thing. But something about the contemporary design for her costume just doesn't stick for me, like they can't decide if she whould be competing with the sexed-out characters of the day, or have a more regal, larger-than-life image. Frankly, I've always loved the odd, classic costumes from when she was written in that pandering, sexist tone that somehow empowered and yet offended girls at different stages of their childhood development. Anyway, I LOVE this costume. When I was asked to do a commission sketch of a golden age Wonder Woman, I leapt at the assignment. Check out the cool lasso, hey!
